Should You
Replace Your Lawn
If
you answer yes to any of these
questions, you should probably consider
replacing the grass in your lawn with a
species and variety suited to the
conditions of your landscape.
Does your lawn regularly turn brown
during summer?
Is your lawn the last one in the
neighborhood to green up in the spring
or the first to turn brown in fall?
Is the grass outpaced by weeds in the
spring?
Do warm-season weeds such as crabgrass
present a constant battle despite
control measures?
Is most of the turf, coarse bladed and
pale colored?
Is your lawn a series of patches of
three or more different colored and
textured grasses?
Do insects (other then grubs) leave
large dying or dead patches in your
lawn?
Does water puddle up throughout the lawn
after a rain, causing the grass to turn
yellow and lose vigor?
Does the grass wilt and take on a
grayish cast if it's not watered
regularly? |
